Krystyna is the foreign rights director at JABberwocky Literary. A former Air Force brat, Krystyna spent most of her life in northern Virginia while dreaming of the beaches of her southern California birthplace. After graduating from the College of William and Mary, she moved to New York City to pursue a career in publishing. She secured an internship at Jill Grinberg Literary Management, where she unexpectedly discovered a love of foreign rights. From there, she honed her skills as the foreign rights intern at Writers House before joining the team at JABberwocky. In her free time, she enjoys consuming media from a wide spectrum of geek culture and pretending to play it cool when meeting her favorite authors.
Reading tastes lean heavily toward YA, science fiction, and fantasy, but include literary fiction, crime fiction, and narrative nonfiction. At the end of the day, anything with memorable characters and an emphasis on story, and books of all genres written from non-Western perspectives are of particular interest.
