61vMUhv3S5L._SX329_BO1,204,203,200_We are thrilled to announce that Charlaine Harris‘s Midnight, Texas series is currently in development as a new drama for NBC! Written/executive produced by Monica Owusu-Breen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and executive produced by David Janollari (Six Feet Under). Janollari says of Charlaine’s series: “It’s where humans and the supernatural co-exist, and where everyone has a secret. . .It’s equal parts humorous, sexy, and downright scary.” Critics agree—Romantic Times raved, “An unusual and highly entertaining new series. . .a supernatural mystery with a decidedly creepy edge!”

This will be the third time Charlaine’s work will be hitting the small screen—following the wildly popular True Blood, adapted from her Sookie Stackhouse novels, and the Aurora Teagarden movies which premiered earlier this year on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The Midnight, Texas pilot is in development by Universal Television and studio-based David Janollari Entertainment for the Fall 2016 TV season, and the third book in the series, NIGHT SHIFT, will be published in May, leaving plenty of time to catch up. Needless to say, we’re excited to see what NBC does with Charlaine’s newest series!
