As the year comes to a close, we have even more exciting news to share! THE DAYLIGHT WAR by Peter V. Brett is on the ibooks Best of 2013 list in the UK! After recently being named a finalist for the 2013 German Leserpreis, this is even more great recognition for Brett to finish out the year. On the homefront, THE RITHMATIST by Brandon Sanderson has been named the iBooks Best Teen Book of 2013!
THE RITHMATIST also made the list of Best Teen Books of 2013 by Audible and Brandon’s latest book, STEELHEART, is currently #7 on the New York Times bestseller list, marking its 10th week on the list. With STEELHEART being named Audible’s Best Audiobook of 2013 and one of the AV Club’s Favorite Books of the Year, and THE RITHMATIST being picked for best of the year lists by Kirkus and Hudson Booksellers, this has definitely been an exciting year for Brandon as he makes his way into the YA scene!
In other exciting news, British magazine SciFi Now has called Myke Cole‘s FORTRESS FRONTIER one of the best books of 2013: “The characters are memorable and vivid, the plotting fast-paced, and the action razor-sharp. Finally, A NATURAL HISTORY OF DRAGONS by Marie Brennan was chosen as one of the Best of 2013 for Tor.com’s 2013 Reviewers’ Choice Roundup, after having made Best of 2013 lists from Slate and NPR. And just in time for January’s post-holiday gift card shopping frenzy, A NATURAL HISTORY OF DRAGONS will be in its fifth hardcover printing!
