Brandon Sanderson fans in the New York area, the 92nd Street Y is the place to be this Saturday, November 16!

Brandon will be there, along with fellow YA authors Christopher Paolini and James Dashner, to discuss the fantasy genre. The event begins at 3 PM and copies of STEELHEART will be available for purchase and signing after the event. As of this posting, tickets are still available, so be sure to grab one before they sell out.

We’re excited to share all the wonderful press Brandon’s YA titles have received recently! THE RITHMATIST and STEELHEART are both nominees for YALSA’s Best Fiction for Young Adults. THE RITHMATIST will also be featured in the ABC Best Books for Children Catalog, which is distributed to over 1000 independent bookstores nationwide, and STEELHEART is one of Locus Magazine’s New and Notable books for November. Additionally, STEELHEART and THE RITHMATIST are both semi-finalists for Goodreads.com’s “Best Books of 2013 Award” in the young adult fantasy category. This award is decided by popularity, so if you haven’t voted for your favorite (Sanderson) book be sure to do so here!

In international news, THE RITHMATIST is now a bestseller on two continents: it debuted at #8 on the bestseller list in Taiwan and has climbed to #3 this week! Not surprisingly, THE RITHMATIST is a hit in translation as well.
