Submissions

We are currently OPEN to queries on a limited basis.
Please check our bio pages for more information.

At JABberwocky, your queries are important to us. Many of our most successful clients have been represented here for close to 20 years, from their very first books, and the discovery of new talent is important to us. We are interested in a broad range of fiction and non-fiction intended for general audiences, and you can refer to the bio page for our specific tastes and interests. We handle only book-length material, and we do not handle series romance, children’s books, or poetry. Please visit our bio page to see our reading preferences.

Please observe the following guidelines:

We only respond to unsolicited queries by mail when they are accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope (SASE) or, for international queries, an international reply coupon (IRC) if US postage is unavailable. We do not accept queries by phone, or by fax.

E-mail queries must be directed to one of the following two addresses. Unsolicited e-mail queries sent to any other address are considered spam, and will be deleted unread.

Eddie Schneider: queryeddie [at] awfulagent.com
Jessie Cammack: queryjessie [at] awfulagent.com

Furthermore, DO NOT SEND ANY MANUSCRIPT MATERIAL UNLESS REQUESTED. A brief one to three-page synopsis can be included with your query letter, but is in no way required. With an e-mail query, this must be pasted below your query letter; e-mail queries with attachments will be deleted, unread.

You can mail your queries to:

JABberwocky Literary Agency
PO Box 4558
Sunnyside, NY 11104-0558

Some advice: unless you are sending additional submission material, please use a #10 (business) envelope. A #10 SASE is also recommended unless you wish for additional materials to be returned. Trust us, it will save you a lot of money in postage (44 cents per item). We can’t even begin to count how many one or two page queries show up in big envelopes with similar big envelopes for a one-page response. So please do yourself a favor and stock up on #10 envelopes with self-adhesive labels.

**NOTE: DO NOT QUERY US VIA PHONE OR FAX**
