Over the weekend, Dead Ever After was officially revealed as the title of the 13th and concluding Sookie Stackhouse novel, which will go on sale on May 7, 2013. The first official word came from our friends at Orion/Gollancz in the UK, as part of a series of newsletters going out on the 13th of each month until release date for the book. Our friends at Penguin in the US then circulated word via Charlaine’s Facebook page, and now the news is going global, from The Guardian in the UK to MediaBistro’s GalleyCat publishing news site, and the Onion’s AV Club. Sookie Stackhouse has been part of the JABberwocky experience since 1997, when we first read Dead Until Dark and then embarked on a 2+ year process of trying to sell it. We’ll miss having a new Sookie novel every year. But we can also promise you some great new things from Charlaine to follow. 2013 will also bring the start of Cemetery Girl, a graphic novel project by Charlaine Harris, Christopher Golden and artist Don Kramer, and more good things to come..
