We’ve just learned that Jeri Westerson has been named a finalist for the Shamus Award! Jeri is up for the Shamus for her debut, VEIL OF LIES (reviews | buy). She has also been named a finalist for the Macavity Award.

The Shamus is given by the Private Eye Writers of America, the winner chosen by committee, and the Macavity Awards are nominated and voted on by members of Mystery Readers International and subscribers to Mystery Reader Journal. The winner of each award will be announced at Bouchercon in Indianapolis in October.
