Hanging Out with the Best, Pt 2

12/24/2012

Happy holidays, everyone!  JABberwocky is looking forward to the arrival of 2013 next week but, before we say goodbye to 2012, we wanted to reflect on just how good a year it has been for our authors.

Jim Hines published LIBRIOMANCER this August (his first ever hardcover release) and the book was celebrated by fans and critics alike earning a starred review from Publishers Weekly. The first novel in his new Magic Ex Libris series, LIBRIOMANCER has already gone back for a 2nd hardcover printing, it was #4 on Locus Magazine’s November bestseller list, and not one (but two!) editors from RT Books put it on their “Best of 2012” lists!

Not to be outdone, Jack Campbell also started a new series this year: The Lost Stars. TARNISHED KNIGHT, received an elusive starred review from Kirkus Reviews and was later named one of the “Best Fiction [Novels] of 2012.” Fans also loved the new series, and TARNISHED KNIGHT was a finalist on Goodreads’s annual “Best Science Fiction” list by popular vote.

As you can see there has been lots of good news for our authors in 2012, and we have reason to believe that it ain’t over yet!
