12/4/2025

We’re excited to see that WITCHCRAFT FOR WAYWARD GIRLS by Grady Hendrix has been voted as Readers’ Favorite Horror Book in the Goodreads Choice Awards 2025!

The Goodreads Choice Awards are annual, reader-voted awards across a variety of fiction and nonfiction categories. In addition to Grady, Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s spellbinding novel, THE BEWITCHING, was also a finalist and placed 4th overall in the Horror genre. In the Fantasy category, WIND AND TRUTH by Brandon Sanderson, the latest epic tome in the bestselling Stormlight Archive series, came in 3rd overall.

WITCHCRAFT FOR WAYWARD GIRLS marks the best first year for a Grady Hendrix novel for readers, reviewers, and on Bookscan, pushing Grady’s lifetimes sales to over 3 million copies worldwide! It hit multiple bestseller lists, including #2 on the New York Times and #5 on USA Today, and earned multiple starred reviews as well. The New York Times did a feature following the book’s release, writing: “Hendrix’s genius as a horror writer is his ability to develop complex, human-scale emotional arcs. He gilds these dramas with a glorious, gory layer of monsters and magic, but in his work, the uncanny exists primarily to symbolize real-world issues… At turns frightening, anxiety-producing, infuriating, beautiful and sad, “Witchcraft for Wayward Girls” is a perfect horror for our imperfect age.”

Congratulations to Grady, Silvia, and Brandon!
