Tae Keller has joined us as our new Foreign Rights assistant. While attending college at Bryn Mawr on Philadelphia’s Main Line, she discovered the joys of Hope’s chocolate macadamia cookies, and also interned at Puffin, Norton, and Writers House. She’ll be working with Krystyna Lopez on all aspects of our foreign rights business, from preparation of marketing materials at the start of our sales process through to the receipt of author copies of the foreign editions.  With the agency having arranged over 100 foreign deals in 2015 to date, for well over 200 books, there’s a lot to keep Tae busy.

Ben Grange is working three days as a week as an assistant to all of us.  An alleged Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup fan, Ben graduated Brigham Young University this past spring, and while studying in Utah interned at Shadow Mountain, Future House and A&B Literary Works.  Since moving to New York to pursue his strange dream of becoming a literary agent, he’s done additional internships at Dystel & Goderich and the Bent Agency.  He’ll be learning the ropes at JABberwocky, helping us with database projects, manuscript evaluation and lots lots more.

Estelle Malmed is working under Lisa Rodgers, facilitating the growth of our expanding e-book and POD program.  Her path to JABberwocky included stops at Random House, Simon & Schuster, and Hunter College’s Office of Graphic Design.  In her first weeks on the job, she’s tweeted up a storm to promote our e-book titles, reviewed files for forthcoming UK e-book editions of Jeri Westerson’s Crispin Guest books, put finishing touches on the forthcoming Toni L. P. Kelner collection Crooked as a Dog’s Hind Leg, and more.  She welcomed Tae and Ben with homemade lemon bars.

Three years ago, both Sam Morgan and Lisa Rodgers started as part-timers, and took practically no time at all to become full-time employees making major contributions to JABberwocky.  Join us today in welcoming Tae, Ben and Estelle to the JABberwocky team, and check back for regular updates on our expanding team.
