We have BIG news to share: Apple TV have landed the film & tv rights to the Mistborn series and The Stormlight Archive, the two internationally bestselling series by Brandon Sanderson! More specifically, Apple TV is looking to adapt Mistborn into feature films while The Stormlight Archive is being eyed for television.

This news follows on the heels of another recent milestone: his books have sold over 50 million copies across 35 languages as of December 2025, an achievement that speaks to the literary success of the Cosmere universe. The Mistborn series has sold over 17 million copies; the first book is widely considered a modern classic in fantasy literature and was deemed as one of the best fantasy novels of all time by TIME. The Stormlight Archive, the first five-book arc of which was recently completed with WIND AND TRUTH, has also reached over 16 million copies sold and was nominated for the Hugo Award for Best Series in 2025.
