We are delighted to report that Charlaine Harris just moments ago won the Macavity Award for Best Mystery-Related Non-fiction for The Sookie Stackhouse Companion. Just out in Ace trade paperback after a 2011 hardcover release (also available on audio and from the SF Book Club), this Sooke compendium includes Charlaine’s all-new Sookie novella “Small Town Wedding,” a Sookie Comcordance, maps, timelines recipes and much much more. Our heartiest congratulations to Charlaine and everyone who worked to put this Companion together.

And why don’t we make it a double, two days after winning the Macavity at Bouchercon, Charlaine also took home the Anthony Award for Best Critical Nonfiction. What an amazing and well-deserved double dip of recognition.
