Darkwalker_mediumSome very exciting news today in the JABberwocky office! E. L. Tettensor‘s debut novel, DARKWALKER, is a finalist for the 2015 Compton Crook Award! This award was created by the Baltimore Science Fiction Society, Inc., to honor the best first novel of year (in this case, published in 2013) written by an individual author in the science fiction, fantasy, and horror genres.
Master of Plagues

Set in a city reminiscent of early 19th Century London, DARKWALKER is an atmospheric historical fantasy with a masterfully plotted mystery at its core. Night Owl Reviews loved the “wonderfully spooky, truly otherworldly” setting, and Bibliosanctum gave it 5 out of 5 stars, saying, “a surprising and fantastic debut from E.L. Tettensor.”

And, lucky readers, MASTER OF PLAGUES, the second Nicolas Lenoir novel, is available at your local bookstore! Complete with plagues and witchcraft, there’s no need to wait for Lenoir’s next adventure.

Past winners include JABberwocky clients Elizabeth Moon, T.C. McCarthy, and Myke Cole. We’re incredibly honored to be have another of our authors under consideration!
