Ellery Queen TV Series in Development

We’re thrilled to share that Incendo and BlackBox Multimedia have optioned the TV adaption rights to the Ellery Queen novels and short stories starring the eponymous detective, with the intent to co-develop and co-produce a high-end scripted series, which will feature Ellery Queen reimagined as a female lead. We at JABberwocky are very excited to be working with Incendo and BlackBox Multimedia, and we can’t wait to see Ellery Queen back on our TV screens.

This exciting news has been covered in depth at Variety and C21 Media, as well as Kirkus. Stay tuned for further updates on the future of our favorite fair-play detective!

Richard Dannay and Rand B. Lee of the Frederic Dannay Literary Property Trust and Manfred B. Lee Family Literary Property Trust said:
“When our fathers first sat down to begin the collaboration that would become Ellery Queen, they never would have dreamed that they would then embark on a forty-year journey together, or imagined the remarkable success that Ellery Queen would attain. All of us in the Lee and Dannay families are thrilled to be working with BBMM and Incendo, which have both been so respectful and admiring of the rich Ellery Queen tradition, in crafting a new chapter on the screen for our shared legacy.”
