Reviews
The Chaos Queen Quintet
Duskfall (#1)
"The first book in the Chaos Queen Quintet starts with a bang and introduces Husberg’s world to the reader in an interesting, plot-driven manner. "
"This is a solid setup for a great new fantasy epic, perfect for fans of Daniel Abraham and Brandon Sanderson."
"If this was Christopher Husberg’s first effort, fantasy has a bright future indeed."
"Duskfall is a gripping read that after the slow start captivates you, turning into a real page turner leaving you eagerly awaiting the next book in the series."
"This is a speeding horse of a good read that will appeal to those of us who already love the likes of George R R Martin and Michael J Sullivan."
"This book is a must for any fantasy lover and is the one you have been waiting for. It is a great vacation book or hell an anywhere book."
"Christopher Husberg's Duskfall is an entertaining and strong debut novel that beckons fans of epic fantasy to explore its fascinating world and realistic characters. I have a feeling that it will strongly appeal to everyone who loves well-told fantasy stories."
"[A] series I’ll be savouring with each release."
"Solid, entertaining, and left me eager to read the next book"
"Once you get started you will be drawn in and the story will keep you interested from beginning to end."
Dark Immolation (#2)
"Following the dramatic events of Duskfall, Husberg settles in for granular worldbuilding...The story has some of the action, horror, and revelations of the first volume, but this is a book of politics first: religion versus government, traditional female power versus traditional male power, and the wild cards that skew a chess match not designed for them."
"These books are perfect for the dedicated fantasy reader. But the spot-on world building and relatable characters could also gain the interest of more casual fantasy readers."
"As I mentioned above, the second book in a series (regardless of series length) can make or break the series. In this case, Dark Immolation very clearly makes the series."
