As a child, Kara Newhouse loved stories about magic and imagination. Today, she writes children’s books about the magic of real life, from the wonders of science to the people reimagining and remaking the world we live in.

Kara is an award-winning journalist who has worked both internationally and in the U.S. She is currently a producer and co-host of MindShift, a podcast about the future of learning from KQED. She lives in Washington, DC.
