Lauren T. Davila

Lauren T. Davila is a Pushcart-nominated, Latina author, editor, and anthologist currently pursuing her Ph.D. in English at Claremont Graduate University in California, USA. She holds an MFA in Fiction Writing from George Mason University and dual BAs in English and Creative Writing from Pepperdine University.

Her short fiction and poetry have appeared online in multiple outlets including Granada Magazine, The Paragon Journal, and the Voyage Journal among others. In her work as an anthologist, she has three anthologies she has edited and published in 2022: WHEN OTHER PEOPLE SAW US, THEY SAW THE DEAD (BIPOC gothic horror from Haunt Publishing), WHERE MONSTERS LURK AND MAGIC HIDES (YA Latine genre from Bee Infinite Press) and PLACES WE BUILD IN THE UNIVERSE (Adult Latine genre from Flower Song Press). She also has a locale anthology forthcoming from Inked In Grey Press and an eco-horror anthology from Outland Entertainment. 

Besides her work as an anthologist and her own writing, she is seeking speculative YA and Adult manuscripts from diverse or historically marginalized authors in her role as Acquisitions Editor at CatStone Books. She is also a judge at NYC Midnight and Editor-in-Chief for Foothill Poetry Journal. She lives in the greater Los Angeles area where you can find her swimming, walking her puppy, and drinking one too many rose lattes.
