Tina Shimizu is an author-illustrator with a background in fashion and children’s product design. Her obsession with the colors and compositions of magazine editorials and advertising campaigns inspires the aesthetics of her illustrations, which have been featured in galleries across the U.S. She loves storytelling and visualizing big topics through funny little narratives. When not drawing, she can be found searching high and low and everywhere in between for wisdom—whether in books, podcasts, or the silence of a deep meditation. 

She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two boys, whose never-ending curiosity about bugs and fossils provides constant material for her children’s stories.
