Film rights to Brandon Sanderson’s latest novella Snapshot (forthcoming in April from Vault Books) were sold this week to MGM! A science fiction detective story, Snapshot follows Anthony Davis, a cop who must solve a horrific crime in a world where “snapshots” allow characters to relive an entire day – for the purposes of investigation, of course. Broken Road Productions and Entertainment 360 (Office Christmas Party) will produce the film.

Film rights for Sanderson’s Reckoners series has also sold to 20th Century Fox and this year DMG acquired film rights to the entire Cosmere universe, which spans many of Sanderson’s novels and short fiction. Fans will soon be able to see quite a lot of Brandon Sanderson’s stories on the big screen!
