JABberwocky Literary Agency is pleased to announce that we have recently welcomed a new client, J.C. Snow.
J.C. Snow writes fantasy worlds inspired by diverse historical and cultural settings, with stories that center queer characters and relationships. She is the author of the Crane Moon Cycle duology (The Phoenix and the Sword and The Shoreless River) and a standalone novel in the same world, The Seaglass Blade.
In addition to her fantasy writing, J.C. holds a doctorate in religion from Columbia University, and has published extensively on religion, race, and colonialism. She lives with her wife and child in the San Francisco Bay area, is a co-founder of the East Bay Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers meetup group, and is a member of The Novelry. When not writing, she travels with her family, gardens badly, hoards books, explores archives, and wanders in forests and along seacoasts.
J.C. Snow is represented by Bridget Smith, who is excited to work with her on her fantasy novel THE DIVIDING LINE, set in a country cut off from the rest of the world by a magical Line that keeps out the deadly monstrous. When one of the surveyors holding a portion of the Line in her body is murdered, two women – one to plot a course for the Line, the other to construct and hold it – are assigned to replace her segment, but in the course of their work discover much more about the Line than they were ever taught.
You can find J.C. at her monthly newsletter and website, or follow her on Instagram or Threads.
Welcome, J.C.!
