Signal to Noise is a Finalist for the British Fantasy Award! (Update: And the Sunburst Award!)



Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s SIGNAL TO NOISE is a finalist for the British Fantasy Award for Best Novel, on top of all her other accolades! The award is presented every year by the British Fantasy Society at Fantasycon, to be held in Scarborough this coming September.

Update: Silvia was also just longlisted for the Sunburst Award in Canada for SIGNAL TO NOISE, as well as for her short story “Lacrimosa,” which appeared in Nightmare magazine. The shortlist is forthcoming in July.

In addition to these nominations, Moreno-Garcia’s novel was recently nominated for the 2016 Aurora Award in Canada, presented every year by the Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy Association to honor the best work done by Canadians. The award will be announced in August. It has also been a RT Reviewers’ Choice finalist for Best Fantasy Novel, as well as a finalist for the 2015 Locus Awards. SIGNAL TO NOISE was also selected for numerous Best of the Year lists, by review outlets including Kirkus, RT Book Reviews, Locus, Buzzfeed, BookRiot,, Barnes and Noble, and many more.
