Here at JABberwocky we are proud to represent a range of very talented authors who create literature that tops bestseller lists, wins critical and professional acclaim, and that pushes the boundaries of the imagination. Yet our clients also have many talents outside of the written word.
Marjorie Kellogg is one such person, having written eight novels while also working as a professional set designer. It is for her work on the latter that JABberwocky is happy to announce that Marjorie will be presented with The Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design this Friday, May 2nd! As one of the five awards to be presented at the TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards ceremony at the Hudson Theatre (at the Millennium Broadway Hotel), the Robert L.B. Tobin Award honors those who have “achieved a career so distinguished in theatrical design that his or her work becomes an example to all designers of the beauty, feeling and empathy that a designer creates through true mastery of this art.”
Our hearty congratulations to Marjorie Kellogg on winning this prestigious award for her theatrical design work! If you are curious to learn more of Marjorie’s other excellent accomplishments we would recommend that you pick up an e-book copy of HARMONY, one of her standalone science-fiction novels that also happens to feature theater design as a narrative backdrop.
