Two (Ma)Cavities!

6/14/2012

The big week at JABberwocky continues, with news that two of our clients are up for the 2012 Macavity Award, Charlaine Harris for The Sookie Stackhouse Companion for Best Mystery-Related Nonfiction, and Jeri Westerson for the Sue Feder Historical Mystery Award for the latest Crispin Guest mystery, Troubled Bones.  This is the third award nomination for the Companion, previously on the final ballot for the Agatha and also contending for the Anthony, which like the Macavity will be awarded at Bouchercon in Cleveland the first weekend in October.  Jeri Westerson’s accomplishments are pretty amazing, she’s written four Crispin Guest mysteries, every single one of them has been nominated for at least one major award in the mystery field, and it’s four nominations this year for Troubled Bones.  Most of you are no doubt familiar with the Sookie Stackhouse novels, which have sold some 20 million copies worldwide.  You may not be as familiar with Jeri’s Medievial Noir mysteries featuring Crispin Guest, and we strongly recommend you check out the series.  You can find the first book, Veil of Lies, on the publisher website here with a drop-down menu to connect you direct with the print or ebook vendor of your choice.
